Craftmaker’s Chair with Danish Cord Seat is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional dining chair, combining classic craftsmanship with a refined woven seat. Handmade in Derbyshire, the solid oak frame is paired with a hand woven Danish cord seat, a braided paper cord commonly used in Scandinavian furniture. Inspired by an antique market find and carefully scaled for modern dining, the chair introduces texture and warmth while maintaining a light and elegant profile. The woven seat creates a distinctive graphic pattern that feels both tactile and understated.

Material & Specifications

Oak Frame
Dust gently with a soft or microfibre cloth. A good quality polish suitable for oak may be applied occasionally to maintain the finish and nourish the timber.Avoid dragging the chair, as this may place strain on the frame.

Take care to keep hard or sharp objects away from the surface to prevent chips or scratches to the wood or painted areas.

Rush or Cord Seat
Rush is a natural material and benefits from thoughtful handling. Avoid excessive moisture or direct contact with water.

For small marks, spot clean carefully with warm water, a mild detergent and a lightly damp cloth. Allow the seat to air dry fully before use and avoid applying heat. If desired, a small amount of creamy beeswax may be gently applied once fully dry to help maintain suppleness and tone.

Shipping Policy

Delivery: Standard shipping takes 5-7 business days for samples, fabric and wallpaper. For all other items the delivery time is showing above.
Tracking: A confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order is shipped.

Returns Policy

Return Window: Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
Return Process: Contact us with your order number and reason for return. We will provide return authorization and instructions.
Refunds: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7-10 business days. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
